Wishing Upon A ‘Star Wars’
Make-A-Wish was excited to celebrate World Wish Day (a celebration of the first wish granted in 1980) by granting the wish of 7-year-old Niko. Battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Niko has grown to love LEGOS and Star Wars so it was the perfect opportunity to combine the two and make it a day to remember.
Niko arrived to the Make-A-Wish office and was greeted by Star Wars characters who helped him go though extensive Jedi training. He battled Storm Troopers, went through a swamp and even battled Darth Vader on the patio. After Niko defeated the dark side, there were no hard feelings as all joined in to celebrate. He was presented with Star Wars LEGOS, cupcakes and got to chat with his new friends.
